Original German postcard handwritten and signed by Franz von Papen in Berlin on 28 February 1933, during his first month as Vice Chancellor in Adolf Hitler’s government. The card bears Papen’s printed Wilhelmstrasse address, Prussian State Ministry stamp, postage, postal markings and a large handwritten “F. v. Papen” signature. This Dolores Ibarruri signed Soviet envelope is an original Soviet postal stationery envelope bearing a handwritten blue-ink autograph by Dolores Ibarruri, known as “La Pasionaria.” The lot includes an unsigned black-and-white portrait photograph of Ibarruri. The frame shown in the reference images is not included.
