Original historical document estate belonging to Rudolf Paret, a German Reichsbahn official whose archive traces his path from civil engineering and Reichsbahn service to SA membership and later Wehrmacht service on the Eastern Front.

This complete archive includes a large gold-embossed document folder with official Reichsbahn promotion certificates, including the appointment of Paret as Reichsbahnbauassessor in 1938 and later as Reichsbahnrat in 1940. These certificates are especially desirable because they are recorded as being hand-signed by Julius Dorpmüller, Director General of the Deutsche Reichsbahn and Reich Minister of Transport, with a facsimile signature of Adolf Hitler also present in the group.

The estate also includes documents connected to Paret’s early political and paramilitary background, including material relating to SA Sturm 1/112 and his rank as SA Rottenführer. Other documents show his professional development as a railway and construction official, including correspondence from Karlsruhe, Halle and Reichsbahn offices.

A particularly strong historical element is the later Wehrmacht connection. Paret is documented as Obergefreiter Rudolf Paret, born on 6 May 1910 in Fahrenbach, with service connected to 2. Reserve Grenadier Battalion 465. A post-war document records that his last known message came on 20 March 1944 from Tarnopol, Galicia, and that he was later reported missing on the Eastern Front.
