Description

Francisco Franco Signed Council of the Movement Document – Original 1964 Appointment

This Francisco Franco signed Council of the Movement document is an original official appointment certificate dated El Pardo, 25 June 1964. Issued in the name of Francisco Franco as Head of the National Movement and President of its National Council, the document appoints Ramón Muñoz González de Quirós as a Consejero Nacional, or National Councillor, within the X Consejo Nacional del Movimiento.

The Francisco Franco signed Council of the Movement document is a complete historical certificate, not a detached signature, autograph cut or modern reproduction. It retains the original formal heading, printed institutional text, named recipient, precise date, large handwritten Franco signature and embossed official seal in the lower section. These elements make it a strong and visually important example of official state documentation from Francoist Spain.

The document is headed “El Caudillo, Jefe Nacional del Movimiento y Presidente de su Consejo Nacional”. It formally confirms that Ramón Muñoz González de Quirós had been designated as a National Councillor and that the present appointment certificate was being issued in his favour. It specifically identifies him as a member of the X National Council, giving the item a clear institutional and political context.

The Francisco Franco signed Council of the Movement document is historically significant because it records the formal operation of one of the central political institutions of the Franco regime. Rather than being a routine letter or a commemorative autograph, it is an official appointment document issued to a named individual. It preserves the relationship between the Head of State, the National Movement and the internal political structures of Spain during the 1960s.

The document was issued at El Pardo, the official residence and working centre associated with Franco during the period. Its date, 25 June 1964, places it during the later phase of the regime, when official institutions of the National Movement continued to operate through appointments, councils and formal administrative documentation.

The original handwritten signature is the central autograph feature of the piece. It appears prominently in the lower section beneath the printed text and beside the embossed official seal. The document should be described accurately as signed by Francisco Franco in ink. No separate certificate of authenticity is included unless specifically stated.

This Francisco Franco signed Council of the Movement document has strong appeal for collectors of original Spanish political documents, twentieth-century historical autographs, official appointment certificates and Franco-era archives. It is more substantial than a simple signed photograph because it combines an identifiable recipient, an exact date, official political content, formal presentation and an original signature.

The certificate is printed on large cream-coloured paper with an elegant and restrained formal design. The typography, spacing and embossed seal give it a strong presentation value. It would be particularly suitable for archival display or professional conservation framing using acid-free materials and UV-protective glass.

Condition is good for an original official document from 1964. The paper shows light age toning, small marks and minor handling evidence consistent with its age and storage. The text remains readable, the signature is visible, and the embossed seal remains an important visual feature. Buyers should review all photographs carefully, as they form part of the condition description.

Only the original signed appointment document shown in the photographs is included. No frame, folder, envelope, translation, display stand or additional certificate is included unless expressly stated. The document should be kept flat in an archival sleeve and protected from direct sunlight, humidity, adhesive materials and excessive handling.

This Francisco Franco signed Council of the Movement document is offered strictly as a historical and documentary collectible for research, preservation, education and responsible collecting. It does not endorse, celebrate or justify dictatorship, political repression, violence or any ideology associated with the historical period.

For collectors seeking an original official Franco-era document with a clear date, named recipient, strong visual presentation and handwritten signature, this Francisco Franco signed Council of the Movement document represents a distinctive and historically important addition to a Spanish twentieth-century archive.
