SHIPPING POLICY

1. Packaging Standards
1.1 All items sold by Autographs & Militaria are historical collectibles and are packaged with particular care to preserve their physical integrity.
1.2 Packaging materials may include, depending on the nature of the item:
• Archival-quality protective sleeves
• Acid-free paper (when appropriate)
• Protective plastic enclosures
• Rigid cardboard reinforcement
• Bubble wrap or cushioning materials
• Reinforced shipping boxes
1.3 Fragile documents, signed papers, photographs, and medals are secured to prevent movement during transit.
1.4 Packaging is performed in good faith and according to standard professional practices commonly used in the collectibles and archival trade.
1.5 The Seller does not guarantee that packaging will prevent all possible damage under all circumstances, particularly in cases of carrier mishandling or force majeure events.
2. Shipping Methods
2.1 All shipments are sent through recognized professional shipping carriers.
2.2 The selected shipping carrier may vary depending on:
• Destination country
• Package size
• Value of the item
• Shipping availability
2.3 All shipments include a tracking number.
2.4 The tracking number will be provided to the Buyer once the item has been dispatched.
2.5 Estimated delivery times are provided by the carrier and are not guaranteed by the Seller.
2.6 The Seller does not control or influence carrier handling procedures once the package has been accepted by the carrier.
3. Transfer of Risk
3.1 Risk transfers from the Seller to the Buyer at the moment the item is delivered to the shipping carrier.
3.2 Delivery to the carrier constitutes full performance of the Seller’s shipping obligation.
3.3 From that moment onward, the Buyer assumes all risk of:
• Loss
• Theft
• Damage
• Delay
3.4 The Seller shall not be liable for events occurring after transfer of risk.
4. Shipping Disclaimer
4.1 The Seller shall not be responsible for:
• Shipping delays
• Carrier mishandling
• Loss during transit
• Damage occurring during transportation
• Postal service errors
• Incorrect address provided by Buyer
• Customs inspections or holds
• Import/export restrictions
• Regulatory seizure by customs authorities
• Force majeure events (natural disasters, strikes, war, transport disruption)
4.2 Any claim relating to shipping loss or damage must be directed to the shipping carrier in accordance with their procedures and deadlines.
4.3 The Buyer is responsible for cooperating in any carrier claim process.
4.4 The Seller’s responsibility is limited to providing proof of dispatch and tracking information.
5. Shipping Insurance
5.1 Shipping insurance, where available, is subject exclusively to the terms and conditions of the carrier.
5.2 Insurance coverage may depend on:
• Declared value
• Carrier limitations
• Country restrictions
• Type of item
5.3 The Seller does not guarantee that insurance will cover the full purchase value in all circumstances.
5.4 Any compensation decision is made solely by the carrier or insurance provider, not by the Seller.
6. Customs, Duties and Import Regulations
6.1 The Buyer is solely responsible for:
• Import duties
• VAT or local taxes
• Customs clearance fees
• Regulatory compliance in the destination country
• Documentation required by customs authorities
6.2 The Seller is not responsible for delays or confiscation caused by customs authorities.
6.3 The Buyer must ensure that the item purchased is legally permitted to enter their jurisdiction.
6.4 In the event that a shipment is refused, seized, or returned due to customs regulations, the Seller shall not be liable for losses or additional costs.
7. Incorrect Address and Failed Delivery
7.1 The Buyer is responsible for providing a complete and accurate shipping address.
7.2 The Seller shall not be liable for delivery failure caused by incorrect or incomplete address information.
7.3 Additional shipping costs resulting from returned shipments may be charged to the Buyer.
8. Delivery Time
8.1 Delivery times are estimates only and are not guaranteed.
8.2 The Seller shall not be liable for delays caused by:
• Carrier operational issues
• Customs processing
• Weather conditions
• National holidays
• International transport disruptions
9. Limitation of Liability
9.1 To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Seller’s liability in connection with shipping shall not exceed the amount paid for shipping services.
9.2 Under no circumstances shall the Seller be liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from shipping delays or issues.
10. Buyer Acknowledgment
By completing a purchase, the Buyer acknowledges and agrees that:
• Shipping is handled by independent third-party carriers
• Risk transfers upon delivery to the carrier
• Customs and import obligations are the Buyer’s responsibility
• Delivery times are not guaranteed
• Shipping-related disputes must be addressed to the carrier
