Description

Heinrich Himmler Signed Police Training Appointment Document – Original 1941 Proposal

This Heinrich Himmler signed police training appointment document is an original German administrative record from 1941. The document concerns SS-Hauptsturmführer and teacher Hermann Schegg, who was proposed for appointment to the role of Polizeischulungsleiter, translated as Police Training Leader. It was issued through the Reich Ministry of the Interior and routed to the Presidential Chancellery as part of the formal appointment process.

The Heinrich Himmler signed police training appointment document is a complete period administrative paper, not a detached autograph, loose signature, modern reproduction or decorative certificate. It preserves its official printed headings, typewritten nomination text, named recipient, dated administrative entries, routing stamps, filing holes, handwritten annotations and original Heinrich Himmler signature.

The principal heading reads “Vorschlag zur Ernennung”, meaning “Proposal for Appointment”. The document identifies Hermann Schegg by name and records his existing designation as SS-Hauptsturmführer and teacher. It proposes his appointment as Polizeischulungsleiter, a position connected with police instruction and training. This makes the document a specific personnel record rather than a general letter or routine form.

The Heinrich Himmler signed police training appointment document carries the heading of the Reich Minister of the Interior and was addressed to the Presidential Chancellery of the Führer and Reich Chancellor in Berlin. This administrative route gives the paper strong historical relevance, showing how a named appointment moved through the governmental process during 1941.

A receipt stamp records entry at the Presidential Chancellery on 25 April 1941. The lower section contains an administrative response dated 28 April 1941. It states that the appointment certificate was to be issued under that date with a facsimile signature. This distinction is important for accurate cataloguing: the visible reference to Adolf Hitler concerns the planned issue of a separate certificate with a facsimile signature. The original handwritten autograph on this document is Heinrich Himmler’s.

The Heinrich Himmler signed police training appointment document is particularly notable because the signature appears on an official appointment proposal with a named individual, a defined role and a clear institutional context. It is not simply an autograph on blank paper. The signature is integrated into a surviving administrative process and appears alongside original references, stamps and internal annotations.

The paper also contains a reference to an attached appointment certificate. The present document should be understood as the formal proposal and approval record shown in the photographs. Its value lies in the document’s complete bureaucratic format, the specific appointment of Hermann Schegg and the handwritten Himmler autograph.

The layout is visually appealing for a historical government document. The official departmental heading appears at the upper left, while the receipt stamp and filing reference appear in the upper right. The central text provides the formal proposal, and the signature gives the lower section strong visual focus. This makes the document suitable for archival display when properly conserved.

Condition is consistent with original administrative paperwork from the period. The paper shows fold lines, file holes along the left margin, light age toning, stamps, blue-pencil marks and small handling traces. These characteristics are part of its working-document history and should be preserved. The typed content remains legible, while the handwritten signature remains the principal autograph feature.

This Heinrich Himmler signed police training appointment document should be stored flat in an archival polyester sleeve or acid-free folder. It should be protected from direct sunlight, humidity, pressure, adhesive tape and unnecessary handling. For display, use museum-quality mounting methods and UV-protective glazing, ensuring that no adhesive touches the document.

Only the original signed appointment proposal shown in the photographs is included in the sale. The digital watermark visible in some reference images is not part of the original paper.

This Heinrich Himmler signed police training appointment document is offered exclusively as a historical and documentary collectible for research, archival preservation, education and responsible collecting. It does not support, glorify, minimise or justify National Socialism, political repression, racism, antisemitism, violence or any ideology associated with the period.

A scarce original 1941 appointment proposal with a named recipient, official Reich Ministry of the Interior heading, Presidential Chancellery routing, detailed administrative context and a handwritten Heinrich Himmler signature.
