Description

This original Simon Wiesenthal autograph is a historically significant signed card dated 9 December 1976. The piece includes a small black-and-white portrait photograph in the upper left corner, Wiesenthal’s large handwritten signature across the centre, his typed name below, and the date “9.12.1976” printed on the right side. Its clean presentation makes it a strong display piece for collectors of historical autographs, Holocaust documentation, human rights history and 20th-century European historical material.

Simon Wiesenthal remains one of the most important figures associated with post-war documentation, remembrance and the pursuit of justice after the Holocaust. As a survivor and later researcher, he became internationally known for his work tracing individuals connected with wartime crimes and for preserving the memory of victims through documentation and public awareness. For collectors, his autograph carries historical weight not because of political symbolism, but because of its direct connection to memory, justice and historical accountability.

The signature itself is visually impressive, written in blue ink with a large, flowing and confident hand. It occupies most of the card and gives the item strong visual impact. The combination of photograph, typed identification, date and original signature makes this more desirable than a simple cut signature, as it offers immediate context and presentation value.

The item is in collectible condition, with visible age-related toning and light handling marks consistent with a paper item from the 1970s. The autograph remains clear and prominent. Please review the photographs carefully, as they form an important part of the condition description.

This piece would suit a specialist autograph collection, a Holocaust history archive, a human rights display, a 20th-century history collection or a private collector interested in historically meaningful signed material. It can be preserved in an acid-free sleeve, archival folder or conservation-grade mount. Direct sunlight, humidity and non-archival adhesives should be avoided to protect the paper and ink.

This item is offered strictly as a historical and educational collector’s piece. It is connected to remembrance, documentation and the study of history.
